No Loneliness Whatsoever For The Long Distance Runner!

478434_10201075154907278_2031812587_oOn Sunday 21st April 2013, I completed the London Marathon in 3 hours, 42 minutes and 57 seconds.  That comfortably beat my target time of 3 hrs 45 mins, despite the fact that over the last 2 miles I was suffering with cramp in both calves and having to stop and stretch them every couple of minutes.  It rather spoiled the finish for me, as I was in agony with it by then and had to stop and stretch only 100 yards from the finish line!

But it didn’t spoil the day as a whole which was absolutely amazing.  Cheered on by the crowds every step of the way.  An incredible atmosphere and an unforgettable experience.  And most importantly, combined with the money raised from Acoustic For Autism, over £2,400 was raised for the National Autistic Society.  Thanks so much to everyone that supported me.

A Great Night & Great Result For A Worthy Cause

Acoustic For Autism was a fantastic success on April 3rd and a thoroughly enjoyable night was had by all.  The acts were all superb and everyone was extremely generous.  The event raised a grand total of £1263.49 for the National Autistic Society!  Thanks very much to everyone that was involved.  There are a few photos from the night below, but for more pics, comments and a couple of short clips, check out the facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/events/450965158284608/?ref=2.  Thanks also to Al Perry and Michelle Hunton for these photos.
